I took my 2007 VW in for an oil change. It has over 200k miles and an oil leak that it has had for 2 years (going to cost more to pull the engine and fix than the car is worth) in which "I informed them" about before leaving it. Within a few days of picking up the car the Warning Stop Immediately sounds and indicators were going off. I checked my oil and it had NONE...0...nothing registered on the stick at all. Called the store and took it back in. I received a VM from the manager who was extremely rude and condescending, he then blamed everything on me...stating "they told me" I had a leak and that they did nothing wrong, they didn't leave the plug out or anything...hmmmm really. This man is extremely unprofessional and if that's the way he wants to run the business, I will never be back! Nor will I recommend them to anyone I know! Beware because they wanted to charge me $650 just to try and find the leak and made it appear my oil leak was much worse than it actually has ever been.
Ms. Tew, I am very sorry you feel the way you do but I personally left you that voicemail and I absolutely did not intend to upset or offend you in any way. The only thing I stated was that we had already recommended that you have the leaking oil from your vehicle cleaned off and add dye in the engine to find the oil leaks which is about $57.50 Plus tax. Nobody tried to BLAME you for any issues and I only stated that the oil drain plug and oil filter that gets removed during an oil service WAS NOT leaking when we rechecked your vehicle and topped off your oil. I personally WAS NOT trying to sound rude or Condescending on the voicemail left and if you perceived it that way I am very sorry. Voicemails and texts are so impersonal and they don't always give the message that one is trying to convey.I just wanted to state that extreme oil leaks only get worse over time and not better. The $650 that you stated in this review was only SUGGESTIONS made to you for maintenance needed for your vehicle. I would love to discuss the matter with you and show you that our ONLY intentions as a business is to help educate our customers and give the best possible service we can. Our customers consider us Extremely helpful, nice , considerate and most of all Very Professional. I hope you will give us a chance to earn that type of status with you as we have by so many in Gainesville. Feel free to reach out to me. I would love to do that degrease and dye service at no charge to you so you can at least know how how bad the leak actually is at this point. Again I am very sorry for the misunderstanding.
